When We've Grown Tired and Old
And when we've grown tired and old
Will you remind me of when we were younger?
Of the days when time didn't matter
Playing with pieces of plastic our parents spent their hard earned money on
I guess you could buy happiness back then
We were clay, everything molded us into the ones we are today
And I wouldn't change a thing, no I wouldn't change a thing
Can we reminisce for a moment on how easy we had it back then?
That's all I really want to do.
Cardboard boxes and imagination took us places no one thought to go
We were anything we wanted to be
We went anywhere we wanted to go
We were clay, everything molded is into the ones we are today
And I wouldn't want to change a thing
No, I just want to look back
And think that
We thought life would just get better
What ignorant fools we used to be
