The Paradox of Loneliness
brick by brick i've built these walls for menot to keep you out, to set me free
i know it don't make sense, but i'm sinking
i don't think no one can help me, yeah i believe
that's the truth i see
but the bricks stack up oh so high
that someday i might just fall and die
that's the paradox of loneliness
the paradox, the price i pay
the paradox of loneliness is true
so i guess this is where i say "i need you"
brick by brick, i've built this fairy tale
that i cannot breathe out when i inhale
i guess that's it, my mind is up for sale
the question now is can i get it back
get it back before i derail
gotta keep the wheels on your track
before everything, you know, it goes out of whack
but the bricks stack up oh so high
that someday i might just fall and die
that's the paradox of loneliness
the paradox, the price i pay
the paradox of loneliness is true
so i guess this is where i say "i need you"
this is the life i've lived for years
so i apologize if i push you back from fear
